OBA's Board is chartered with overseeing and ensuring that the youth and community of Orinda has a fun, fulfilling, and vibrant youth baseball league, as outlined by our league Vision and Mission.

Meet Some of the OBA Board
Matt Stokes
President
Matt Stokes has two boys who currently play baseball in the OBA league. Matt is passionate about fostering an OBA environment that encourages our kids to be competitive while also being positive and exhibiting good sportspersonship.
Mark Hanson
Snack Shack Coordinator
Mark has been coaching youth sports in Orinda since 2021, where he is focused on building positive, inclusive teams. He joined OBA's board in 2025 after seeing the huge impact it had on his now baseball-obsessed son. He is excited to help others find that same love of the game through healthy amounts of sunflower seeds, baseball cards, and bubble gum.
Kevin Damstra
Player Advocate
Kevin Damstra has had the privilege of coaching both of his sons, and their teammates, over the past 3 years with OBA. As a former youth baseball player, and current recreational manager, Kevin is passionate about supporting and developing the youth of today in sports and life skills. In his role as Player Advocate, Kevin is looking forward to supporting and growing the OBA community.
Brian Dell'Aquila
Operations
Brian Dell’Aquila has been involved in Orinda baseball (OBA/MHS) for 30+ years as a player, coach, commissioner, and now Operations. When not at the field, he works in software development and teaches a computer science courses at LMU. His goal is to help build the best possible baseball environment and experience for OBA's players.
Josh Kaplan
Mustang Commissioner
Josh has been playing, watching, and arguing about baseball since the 1980s. His love of the game was cemented after attending game 6 of both the 1987 and 1991 World Series, though his eardrums have never fully recovered. He's raising two Giants fans, one of whom already plays baseball better than his dad.
Aundra Tomilins
Marketing and Social Media
𝔸𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕣𝕒 𝕋𝕠𝕞𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕤 is OBA’s marketing and social media guru. Though she didn’t grow up playing much baseball, Aundra’s son quickly caught the bug, and now she’s a proud baseball mom. A lifelong A’s fan, she’s sad to see the team leave but remains passionate about the sport and supporting OBA.

Chris Alfert is OBA's Registration Chair. He's a life long baseball fan and he currently has two kids playing in OBA leagues.
Jeff Lyon
Pony Commissioner
Jeff Lyon has loved baseball for many, many years, having played in Orinda and fields far beyond. Jeff is a faithful OBA steward, serving as our Pony Commissioner and working hard to ensure his sons and Orinda generations yet to come get to experience the joys, thrills, and rich culture of our national pastime.
Meredith Lapointe
Volunteer
As the mom of two avid baseball playing boys, Meredith has been actively involved with OBA and youth sports in Orinda for the past seven years as a team parent and dedicated GameChanger stats guru. She believes that strong volunteering and community positively shapes the experience for players and families.
