OBA Fall Ball Programs (League & Clinics)

Fall Baseball Leagues

Pinto Fall Baseball League - (8 & Under, typically going into 1st and 2nd grade for Fall 2026*)

What: Pinto is an instructional league that gently introduces players to hitting, throwing, fielding, and the basic rules, all with an added emphasis on the fun and joy of the game. Pinto is “coach pitch”. This is a great introduction for new players joining the league in the spring and a way for returning Pinto players to refresh their skills.

When: The season runs from early September through the end of October at Del Rey or Pine Grove. Practices are held once a week for approximately one hour, with some scrimmages against other OBA Pinto Fall Ball teams toward the end of the fall season.

Cost: $150

Coaches: Parent volunteers - please indicate your willingness to assist during registration.

Equipment Required: Glove, Bat, Batting Helmet & Cleats

Mustang Fall Baseball League (10 & under, typically going into 3rd and 4th grade for Fall 2026*)

What: This league will focus on baseball fundamentals to take your child's game to the next level through defensive instruction, baserunning, pitching fundamentals, the catcher position, stealing bases, safety skills while batting, and the introduction of “kid pitching”.

When: The season runs from early September through the end of October at Del Rey and Wagner Ranch. Practices are held once a week, with scrimmages on Sundays starting in late September.

Cost: $250

Coaches: Parent volunteers - please indicate your willingness to assist during registration.

Equipment Required: Glove, Bat, Batting Helmet, Cup & Cleats

Bronco Fall Baseball League (12 & under typically going into 5th and 6th grade Fall 2026*)

What: This league will focus on overall player development. The program is geared toward building players' skills through reinforcing baseball fundamentals.. Practices will include defensive drills, game situation simulations, hitting, baserunning, and pitching.

When: The season runs early September through the end of October at Wagner Ranch and Sports Field. Practices are held once a week, with scrimmages on Sundays starting in late September. Bronco scrimmages typically include teams from neighboring cities in addition to other OBA teams.

Cost: $250

*League age qualification for the upcoming fall and spring seasons is based on your child’s age at April 30, 2026. While we have indicated school grade years in each division above, children with birthdates after April 30th may qualify for the younger division. You should be directed to the appropirate league based on entry of the birthdate during the registration procss

Fall Softball Program

Pinto Fall Softball Skills Clinics (Players Entering 2nd & 3rd Grade)

What: Led by Miramonte High School softball players, OBA's Fall Skills Clinics provide young athletes with quality instruction, mentorship, and a fun environment to build confidence while developing fundamental softball skills. Each clinic will focus on throwing, catching, hitting, baserunning, and game play through engaging drills and activities. No prior softball experience is required—all skill levels are welcome.

When: The program runs from early September through the end of October.

  • Wednesday afternoons: Approximately 1-hour clinic

  • Sunday mornings: Approximately 1-hour clinic

  • Clinics will be held at local OBA fields. Exact times and field locations will be announced prior to the start of the season.

Players are welcome to attend as many Fall Skills Clinics as their schedules allow. There is no minimum attendance requirement, making this a flexible fall program for families balancing other sports and activities.

Cost: $150

Required Equipment: Glove, bat, batting helmet, and cleats. (Fielder's mask optional.)

Parent Volunteers: Our Fall Skills Clinics will be led by Miramonte softball players, but parent volunteers are greatly appreciated to help with field setup, organization, and assisting during drills. If you're willing to help, please indicate your interest during registration.

Mustang Fall Softball Skills Clinics (Players Entering 4th & 5th Grade)

What: Led by Miramonte High School softball players, OBA's Fall Skills Clinics provide players with quality instruction, mentorship, and a fun environment to continue developing their softball skills in preparation for the spring season. Clinics will focus on defensive fundamentals, hitting, pitching, catching, baserunning, and overall game awareness. This is a player-pitch division using an 11-inch softball with a 35-foot pitching distance. Players of all experience levels are encouraged to participate.

As players progress throughout the fall, OBA hopes to coordinate one or more informal scrimmages with neighboring softball organizations later in the season, if schedules and participation allow.

When: The program runs from early September through the end of October.
